914 Catalog ("the Site") is an independent Porsche 914 parts reference operated by a private
individual. This policy explains what the Site collects, why, and what control you have over it.
The short version: the Site collects the minimum needed to run accounts and memberships, and it does
not sell your information to anyone.
Information collected
Account information. If you create an account, the Site stores your email address and a
user record (membership tier, trial dates, preferences). Authentication is handled by Google
Firebase Authentication; the Site never sees or stores your password.
Payment information. Memberships are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on
Stripe's own checkout pages and are never transmitted to or stored by the Site. The Site receives
only a customer identifier and subscription status.
Content you submit. Parts lists, notes, diagram corrections, and images you choose to
share are stored so the feature can work. Images shared to a forum are uploaded to the Site's own
storage and become accessible to anyone holding the link.
Local device storage. Preferences, recently viewed diagrams, and saved parts lists are
kept in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing site data removes them.
Technical logs. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data such as
IP address, user agent, and requested URL for security and reliability purposes.
Analytics. If web analytics are enabled, aggregate usage data (pages viewed, general
region, device type) may be collected via Google Analytics. This is used to understand which parts
of the catalog are useful, not to build individual profiles.
How information is used
To operate accounts, trials, and memberships.
To provide the features you use, such as saved lists and sharing.
To respond to messages you send, including diagram corrections.
To protect the Site against abuse and to diagnose technical problems.
Your information is not sold, rented, or traded. It is not used for advertising profiles.
Service providers
The Site relies on a small number of third parties, each of which handles data under its own
privacy policy:
Google Firebase — authentication and database.
Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
Cloudflare — website hosting, storage, and network security.
Google Analytics — aggregate usage statistics, where enabled.
Resend — transactional email, such as trial reminders.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site does not use advertising cookies. It uses browser local storage for your settings and
offline catalog cache, and Firebase sets authentication tokens so you stay signed in. Analytics, if
enabled, may set its own cookies; you can block these with your browser or an extension without
losing catalog functionality.
Data retention
Account records are kept while your account exists. Billing records are retained by Stripe as
required by financial and tax rules. Shared images and public notes remain until removed.
Your choices
You may request a copy of your account data, correction of inaccurate data, or
deletion of your account and associated records. Email

Requests are handled within 30 days. Deleting your account ends any active membership; cancel
billing through the account page or Stripe first.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA
(California), including the right to object to processing and the right not to be discriminated
against for exercising those rights. The Site honours these requests regardless of your location.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Security
Traffic is served over HTTPS. Account and billing data are held in access-controlled Google and
Stripe systems. No online service can promise perfect security, but the Site deliberately stores as
little personal information as possible.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the Site changes. Material changes will be noted by updating the
date at the top of this page.
